PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Another year has passed, and with all of the extreme weather taking place around the country, I reflect on the spirit and nature of the affected communities as they come together in the face of these disasters. This makes me appreciate, even more than usual, the spirit of community that we have here in Carmel Valley. Our Thanksgiving Dinner annually brings in almost as many volunteers as guests, and our Angel Store brings out the true spirit of the holidays.
In this vein, I am very pleased to announce that the Angel Project Board of Directors has voted unanimously to initiate a Carmel Valley Emergency Fund that will help those Valley residents that have an emergency and need a little financial help to see them through. The payments, meant for emergencies such as flooded homes, need for temporary housing, extreme financial hardship, medical reasons, etc., will be grants, not loans, and do not need to be repaid. The recipients will be selected on the extent of their need and the nature of their emergency. The grants will not exceed $1200.00 per individual and will be limited to the amount of funds available in the Angel Project budget. We expect to have application forms available soon.

The CV Angel Project is pleased to announce that we have recently been awarded a generous grant 0f $3,000 from the Yellow Brick Road in Carmel for the CV Angel Project's Thanksgiving holiday dinner and store.
